Copa del Rey final to be played at Vicente Calderon
This year’s Copa del Rey final will be played at Atletico Madrid’s Estadio Vicente Calderon.
Barcelona defeated Atletico over two legs in the semi-finals to book their place in the final, while Deportivo Alaves saw off Celta Vigo.
Atleti will host the game after Real Madrid refused to allow the Santiago Bernabeu to be used because of construction work.
The game will be played on Saturday, May 27, the weekend after Atletico’s final match at the Calderon against Athletic Club in La Liga.
They will be moving to the 73,000 seater Wanda Metropolitano next season.
Barca are looking to defend the tophy they have won for the last two seasons, defeating Sevilla at the Calderon last year and Athletic at Camp Nou in 2015.
